Summer safety education conference for international students

In order to effectively increase the safety awareness of international students, and ensure that they can have a safe, stable and meaningful summer vacation,  the International Exchange and Cooperation Departmentand the School of Economics and Management held a summer safety education conference for international    students on the morning of July 2.

The meeting invited two police officers from the Exit-Entry Administration Bureau of the Wuhan Municipal Public Security Bureau.He Min, Deputy Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department, Section Chief Wang Zhenwu,Xiao Boming, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Academy, Dean Lei Yinsheng,  Deputy Secretary Liao Qianlan, DeputyDeanFan Qi, Wu Haiping,the international student counselor, and all international students attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Li Lihuainstructor focused on the relevant laws and regulations on personal safety, travel safety, and visa extension for international         students, emphasizing that international students in China must seriously study and abide by Chinese laws, and study and live within the scope of the law.   

During the summer vacation, abide by school discipline and school regulations, enter and leave the campus with the permission of the school, and travel with 

the health code of Hubei Province.

Xiao Boming introduced to foreign students the decisive victory of China's epidemic prevention and the current situation of China's national defense epidemic, the resumption of school workand the situation of graduates returning to school, the normal campus management regulations for school epidemic prevention and   control, and the relevant regulations for the management of international students studying abroad. Xiao Boming asked international students to enhance their  safety precautions, register with teachers in time when they go out, orderly enter and leave the campus, and strengthen personal protection when they go out,  take regular transportation to ensure travel safety.

He Min put forward "threeretentions" for foreign students: First, keep the epidemic cautious. Although the epidemic has now been effectively controlled, it    should be cautious. The second is to maintain a sense of hunger for knowledge, especially for Chinese culture, Chinese language and professional knowledge, and keep learning to enrich ourselves. The third is to maintain a positive attitude towards the future. Facing the future, we must pursue the dream with a positive attitude.

Finally, the School of Economics and Management signed a "Summer Safety Commitment for International Students" with each international student.

This conference not only raised the warning of international students' safety precautions, but also played a positive role in creating a good international    campus environment for our school.
