Sino-British Cooperation in Food Science and Engineering Makes Great Results.

 Recently, good news came from the University of Teesside in the United Kingdom. 16 of the 2020 graduates of the Food Science and Engineering major of the Sino-British Cooperation School of Food Science and Engineering of our school have obtained degrees from both Chinese and British sides, and 3 of them have obtained first-class degrees. Of the 16 people, 2 returned to work in China, and 14 received the opportunity to enter a world-class university and will study for a master's degree. Among the 14 people, 2 were admitted by the University of London, 1 by Watningen University, 2 by the University of Birmingham, 7 by the University of Leeds, 1 by the Imperial College of Technology, and 1 by the Newcastle University.

 

       During the pandemic, the students studying in the UK overcame difficulties, worked hard and got the best results in recent years. It was reported that Teesside University was a vibrant comprehensive public university in the northeast of England, known for its teaching quality. The university has 6 colleges: Business School, Computer School, Science and Engineering School, Social Science and Law School, Art and Design School, Health and Social Care School. Teesside University currently has 28,000 students, including undergraduates, graduate students, and doctoral students. 1,500 international students from more than 100 countries in the world, including about 350 Chinese students, constitute the university’s diverse cultural environment. In order to provide better services to international students, the university has set up offices in China, India, and Malaysia, and will regularly send academic experts to visit partner universities and teach in cooperation projects.

 

       Since 2011, our school has cooperated with Teesside University to recruit students majoring in Food Science and Engineering. The cooperation has achieved many results and won unanimous praise from teachers and students.
