About Wuhan Polytechnic University (WHPU)
Wuhan Polytechnic University (WHPU) was established in 1951 in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, historically known as “a thoroughfare to nine provinces". As a pacesetter in China to cultivate professionals for the grain industry, it has been successively affiliated to such former ministries of China as the Ministry of Food, the Ministry of Business, and the Ministry of Domestic Trade. Since 1998, WHPU has been implementing an administrative system of joint establishment by the central government and the local government, and mainly in the charge of the people's government of Hubei Province. In addition to being a university jointly established by the National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration and Hubei Provincial People's Government, WHPU is also a First-class Discipline Construction University of China in Hubei Province, and a First-tier University of Undergraduate Admission in Hubei Province. WHPU's two campuses are located at Changqing Garden and Jinyinhu, covering a total area of one million square meters; it is comprised of 17 schools(departments), as well as the College of International Education and the College of Continuing Education; WHPU is home to over 22,000 full-time undergraduates and postgraduates.
Staying open to the world, WHPU has established partnerships on academic exchanges, talent cultivation and scientific research cooperation with more than 100 universities and research institutes in over a dozen countries and regions, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Australia, Russia, Chile, Japan, South Korea, and India. WHPU has been promoting its international education, and soundly developing Sino-foreign cooperative programs; it invites world-renowned scientists to Wuhan Forum to give lectures, to build a platform for international academic exchanges; and responding to China's “Belt and Road”Initiative, WHPU recruits international students to its undergraduate and postgraduate programs, to contribute to its brand of “Studying Abroad at WHPU”.
I. Program
Applied Economics（Finance, Industrial Economics, International Trade）,Business
Management（Enterprise Management, Tourism Management, Accounting, Logistics and Supply Chain Management), Rural Development, as well as the majors listed in"Wuhan Polytechnic University Postgraduate Enrollment Directory in 2024".
II. Application Requirements
The applicant must have a passport as the citizen of a foreign country, be well-behaved, healthy, willing to obey Chinese laws and the school regulations, and respect the Chinese customs and traditions.
Besides, the following regulations should be followed as well:
1. The qualified bachelor’s degree certificate or other higher degrees;
2. No criminal record.
III.Application Procedures
1.Date of Application:From March 20,2024 to August 15,2024
2.Application Materials
(1) Application Form for International students of Wuhan Polytechnic University,attach an electronic passport photo to it.
(2)The scanned copy of Bachelor’s Degree Certificate.
(3)The scanned copy of Bachelor’s degree transcripts.
(4)The scanned copy of Passport information page.The passport is valid for more than six months.
(5) Letter of Financial Guarantee from the applicant’s family.
(6)Applicants who have studied in China should provide evidence of their academic performances issued by their previous institution.
(7) Non criminal record.
(8)Physical examination form for foreigners.
(9)Award certificate and relevant supporting materials(if any ).
3. Application Way
Applicants log on the website whpu.at0086.cn/Student and name the file according to its contents and upload it to the system.
* The application materials will not be returned. Applicants must be responsible for the authenticity of the submitted materials. Once false materials are found, they will be rejected directly. The application will not be processed if the application materials are incomplete.
IV. School Fees (RMB)
1.Tuition Fee：22,000 RMB /year.
2.Accommodation Fee: 3000 RMB/year/person(double room)
3.Insurance Fee: 800 yuan commercial insurance fee. Applicants should purchase the full amount of commercial insurance required by the school before entering school.
4. Textbooks Fee: It depends on the study plan each semester.
Special Declaration:
1.The University does not authorize any individual, agent or party to charge any fees or expenses to the applicant in the name of Wuhan Polytechnic University,any payment must be done on university bank account.
2.Wuhan Polytechnic University doesn’t provide service for the students who have special demands for food, drinks, etc.
V. University Scholarship
1. Students can apply for Government Scholarship and University Scholarship.
2. Application Requirements:
( 1)You are supposed to obey and respect the university rules and laws of China;
(2)Your scores should be above 60% for all your courses every semester;
(3)You should pay tuition, accommodation and insurance fees on time.
VI. Enrollment
Applicants should register at the school according to the time specified in the Admission Notice.
If you fail to register 3 weeks late without any reason, you will forfeit your admission.
