On the morning of July 21st, our school’s international development work seminar was held in the fourth meeting room of the administration building. Vice President Sun Xiangyang and the heads of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, the Development Planning Office, the Academic Affairs Office, the Graduate Office, the Personnel Office, the School of Food Science and Engineering, the School of Animal Science and Nutrition Engineering, the School of Economics and Management, and the School of Foreign Languages participated this meeting.

   At the meeting, Vice President Sun Xiangyang affirmed the achievements of the school’s international exchanges and cooperation in recent years. He said that the purpose of holding this seminar is to further sort out the focus and direction of internationalization work. He hoped that the departments participating in the conference would elaborate the main points, measures and difficulties in combination with their actual work. He emphasized that internationalization was an important support and starting point for boosting the various work of the school. The formulation of international development goals should not just stop at the surface of the concept. Its meaning, content, standards, forms and implementation methods should be thoroughly studied . It was necessary to think deeply about who is responsible for international work and what kind of policy system should be established and perfected.

   At the end of the meeting, President Sun made a concluding speech based on the content of the meeting. He emphasized that the current international situation was becoming more complicated and difficult due to the impact of the international pandemic. We must continue to promote the opening of education. We must consolidate the existing internationalization. On the basis of the results, we shall continue to expand new areas of international work and cooperation projects, and strive to form an international brand of Wuhan Polytechnic University.
