On the afternoon of April 8th, Mr. Hou Liang, who in charge of the Chinese region of Teesside University in the UK, was invited to give a speech towards school’s young and middle-aged teachers titled with "UK Higher Education and Curriculum Design-A Brief Introduction" in the lecture hall on the second floor of the Jinyin Lake campus library , which is also the first English lecture of the School Teacher Development Forum. The lecture is held by the International Office (International Education Institute).

With humorous and fluent English and vivid examples, Hou Liang comprehensively and systematically introduced the higher education system of British to the teachers from the aspects of the system of British higher education , the history of British universities, the classification and Programme Structure . In the lecture, he also shared his ideas about new challenges and opportunities faced by higher education in China and Britain. After the lecture, he had a deep discussion with the teachers.
