International Office (School of International Education) Carried Out Anti-fraud and Anti-drug Educational Activities

Recently, the International Office (School of International Education) invited police officers from the Exit and Entry Administration Bureau of Wuhan Public Security Bureau and Dongxihu District Branch of Wuhan Public Security Bureau to carry out anti-fraud and anti-drug educational activities. Over 250 international students from School of Economics, School of Management, School of Mechanical Engineering, School of Civil Engineering and Architecture, School of Life Science and Technology, School of Humanities and Communication, School of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, School of Animal Science and Nutritional Engineering and School of Art and Design participated in learning activities.

During the lecture, Liu Xinyang and Ye Siqi, police officers from the Exit and Entry Administration Bureau of Wuhan Public Security Bureau explained to the international students the laws, regulations, and precautions that should be followed in China. Hu Bing, a policeman from the Criminal Investigation Brigade of Dongxihu District Branch of Wuhan Public Security Bureau, introduced several financial fraud methods currently appearing in society and provided specific tips. Kong Hao, an anti-drug worker from the same branch, explained the definition, classification, and harm of drugs, as well as knowledge of drug prevention and anti-drug. During the lecture, a series of interactive activities, including anti-fraud and anti-drug knowledge contest, specially carried out. Through these activities, international students had a deeper understanding of anti-fraud and anti-drug knowledge. Meanwhile, the lecture also provided a detailed interpretation of relevant policies related to entry and exit, enhancing the legal awareness of international students.

Chen Desheng, deputy director of School of International Education, expressed that the implementation of this education activity played an important role in popularizing knowledge of relevant laws and regulations on entry and exit, and strengthening anti-fraud and anti-drug prevention efforts. International students not only acquired knowledge about anti-fraud and anti-drug but also had a deeper understanding of the administrative regulations related to entry and exit. In the future, School of International Education will intensify publicity of relevant legal education to ensure the safety and stability of international students' study and life in campus, striving to create a good environment for everyone.

Our school actively responds to the "Belt and Road" initiative, continuously enriching the diversity of international students and deepening the international atmosphere. Currently, international students from 33 countries, including Russia, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Ghana, Bangladesh, Morocco, Sri Lanka, India, Vietnam, and Zambia, are studying in campus.
