Recently, three professors of WHPU, Hou Yongqing, Liu Yulan and Chai Bo, were simultaneously selected into World’s Top 2% Scientists 2022, which was jointly released by Stanford University and Elsevier BV.
This list includes “Annual Scientific Impact List 2022” and “Career Scientific Impact List(1960-2022)”. Professor Hou, Professor Liu and Professor Chai of our school were simultaneously selected into “Annual Scientific Impact List 2022”. Among them, Professor Liu of School of Animal Science and Professor Chai of School of Chemical and Environmental Engineering were selected into “Career Scientific Impact List” in the fields of biomedical research and material science respectively.
In recent years, WHPU seize the opportunity of building “Double first-class” university to strengthen the top-level design, promote the intensive development and manifest characteristics and superiority of disciplines. Through policy guidance and a series of supporting measures, WHPU has made an overall plan and systematic progress in talent training, teaching staff, support platform, scientific research, international exchange and other aspects, effectively stimulating the vitality of discipline construction and promoting the quality and advancement of disciplines. These three professors jointly entered World’s Top 2% Scientists 2022, which means that they and their teams have high academic influence in their research fields and marks the continuous improvement of the international academic influence and discipline reputation of WHPU.
It is reported that the World’s Top 2% Scientists 2022 was jointly launched by Elsevier BV and Stanford University in the United States, covering 22 fields and 176 sub-domain in the global scientific community. World’s top 2% scientists were selected from nearly 7 million scientists. The list is based on the largest abstracts and citations database in the world -Scopus database, using citations, H-index, co-authorship adjusted HM-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions, and composite indicator to conduct a comprehensive evaluation and rank global scientists in big data.
