On April 21st 2023, the International Chinese Day in Hubei Province was successfully held in Hubei University. Chen Desheng, vice president of the School of International Education in our university, and Wang Zhenwu from the International Department, led international students participate in this series of activities of the International Exchange Week. International students from the School of Economics and the School of Management set up Russian booths in the activities.

Mariia, Valeriia, Anastasiia, Vadim and Dominik, these postgraduate students from grade 2022 , dressed in costumes with Russian national characteristics, appeared in the Russian booths area singing and dancing with their classmates. Maria especially enjoyed her life in Wuhan. She said happily :“I didn't like eating fish before, but after I came to Hubei and ate fish, I realized that Hubei is really a land flowing with milk and honey. The fish here is so delicious, not only fish but also many foods are delicious. I feel particularly meaningful that I can show Russian national costumes in this activity.”Anastasiia said excitedly , ‘The costumes of Han opera are so beautiful, I like them very much!”

With the theme of communication and mutual learning, sharing and integration, the International Chinese Day activities share new achievements in international Chinese education, promote international exchanges and cooperation in education, show the new elegance of Chinese and foreign youth, provide an exchange platform for international students to experience the charm of Chinese and Chinese culture, and let them feel the unique charm of Chinese traditional culture more truly.

This activity was jointly sponsored by International Chinese Branch of Hubei Education Exchange Association and Professional Committee of Foreign Students Education Management , which actively responded to the cooperation initiative of the Chinese language alliance and let more international students know Chinese and love Chinese culture.
