On March 3rd, on the occasion of the upcoming 46th Chinese Arbor Day, International Office(School of International Education) organized International students to participate in voluntary tree-planting activity at Longjiatai section of Hanjiang River, Wuhan. In the process of planting, teachers explained origin of Chinese Arbor Day and introduced a green development philosophy that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets. Everyone cooperated with each other, shovelling soil, supporting trees and filling them with soil, and finally watering soil. Teachers and students planted saplings along the Hanjiang River and hung cards of love on branches, which added green to Wuhan.
Overseas students who participated in tree-planting activity said that they planted friendship saplings together to express a vision about cultivating international friendship and hope. In activity, they witnessed ecological development in Wuhan City, so that they could really love this city where they were studying and living and spared little efforts to build an international Wuhan with its citizens.
