On April 25th, the first special job fair targeting Hubei's university graduates to work in Africa was held at Hubei University of Technology. This job fair was hosted by Department of Education of Hubei Province and was organized by Hubei University of Technology with Hubei Provincial Sino-Africa Business Council as its co-organizer. This job fair aimed to move forward Sino-Africa friendly cooperation and to encourage Sino-Africa youth to work or start up their own business in Africa. In addition, it aimed to build bridges for Sino-Africa economic and trade cooperation.
At the job fair, Zhou Qihong, Deputy Director-General of Department of Education of Hubei Province said, “the special job fair is an important Chinese practice for Sino-Africa cooperation initiative, and a communication platform for Sino-Africa youth to innovate or start up their own business. Moreover, Education of Hubei Province shoulders the responsibility to serve for socio-economic development and diplomacy.”
There are forty-seven domestic and foreign enterprises operating in Africa for years, including Huajian Group, Lion Group, Malaysia, China Railway 11th Bureau Group Co.Ltd, Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Limited Company, Humanwell Pharmaceutical Co.Ltd, Huaxin Cement Co.Ltd, Hubei Lianfeng Overseas Agricultural Development Group Co.Ltd, etc.They offered 164 kinds of positions for Hubei's university graduates, concerning financial trade, artificial intelligence, mechanical engineering, architecture, medicine, logistics and other fields. International graduates of our school from Bangladesh, Uzbekistan, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Rwanda and other countries attended this job fair, and talked with principals of enterprises face to face.
International graduates said, at the special job fair, they knew Chinese enterprises operating in Africa and created in China. What's more, they were inspired to continuously study their professional knowledge and to enhance employment competitiveness. In addition, they were inspired to become ambassador of friendship between Chinese and African enterprises.
